With a storybook setting at the Oatlands Plantation just outside of Washington, D.C. near Leesburg, VA, we spent the day with Kathryn, Javier and their friends and family. We’re not sure we did justice to the incredible smiles on these two – Kathryn and Javier, you. are. awesome. Both of us photographers found ourselves smiling on the other side of the camera as we captured the infectious happiness between this bride and groom. With a great tent and timely heaters fighting off the autumn evening chill, this group kept the energy up and rocked out the dance floor all night. Great wedding K+J. Thank you for letting us be a part of it!

Rob and Sara // Riverbend Country Club Wedding, Great Falls, VA

Great weather, great attendees, great bride and groom. What more can we say about Rob and Sara’s wedding? The ceremony and reception were held at Riverbend Country Club, just outside of Washington, D.C. on a fantastic autumn evening. We got an opportunity to use some external flash and lighting techniques with the bridal party and bridal portraits that were so much fun. Rob and Sara, thanks for trudging around the golf course at night with us. We love you both and not just because you are so photogenic… but it does make us love you a little bit more. Just kidding. Maybe.

Luke & Rebecca // Villanova Conference Center Wedding, Philadelphia, PA

On September 9^th, 2012, somewhere in between summer and fall, Luke and Rebecca were blessed with an incredibly beautiful day to join together in holy matrimony. We were lucky enough to photograph this great event, a particularly special day for us as friends of the bride and groom. After getting-ready photos, we captured a special “sneak peek” moment between Luke and Rebecca just before the ceremony. Afterwards, photos were taken of the bride and groom and their families and friends outside the Villanova Conference Center, the reception venue near Philadelphia, PA. Nora & Taylor [Engagement Photography]

This past Sunday I had the privilege of shooting an engagement session on behalf of Enigma Productions (wedding photography company based out of Blacksburg, VA) at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, VA. With Saturday snowing and sustaining barely above freezing conditions I was slightly worried we’d have to reschedule our engagement session. However, Sunday rolled around, the snow melted, the temperature rose (to almost 60!), and the location was absolutely stunning. God couldn’t have blessed us with a more perfect evening. Congratulations to Nora and Taylor!
